Forefront Healthcare is hiring for a Full-Time Dietary Aide. You will be part of a supportive team! This is a great opportunity to join our rapidly growing company. The position is located in Boonsboro, MD. Our Director of Culinary will provide the necessary training to ensure your success in this role.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal service, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs. You will assist the cook in meal preparation and service, ensuring residents receive high-quality service in accordance with scheduled meal times and established policies.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist cooks and supervisors with food preparation and service following specific procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts, set up, and clean dining areas.
• Record refrigerator temperatures accurately; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes, maintaining sanitation and kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow all Federal, State, and community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Preferred but not required: 1 year of food service experience.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the community.
• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their unique needs.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• ServSafe certification is desirable but not required.

Education Requirement

High school diploma or GED.

Physical Demands
