Qualifications

• Experience in food service, especially healthcare or long-term care, is favored.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy setting.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve meals according to resident diet orders.
• Set up meal trays and deliver meals promptly.
• Assist residents during meals and with beverages.
• Clear trays and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining hygiene.
• Label, cover, and store food items properly.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen following safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues.
• Follow local, state, and federal food service regulations.
• Treat residents with dignity and compassion.
• Collaborate with dietary staff, nursing, and other departments.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
