Qualifications

• Friendly, with good communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• Ability to read.
• Meet physical demands – stand, sit, walk extended lengths of time, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up tables or other dining areas with cleanliness.
• Maintains clean dining areas and dishes using proper procedures, discards leftovers and empties trash.
• Follows color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.
• Assists the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
• Stocks ingredients and monitors inventory.
• Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Attends all mandatory in-services, trainings and department meetings.
