Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Dietary Aide for the Day Shift (7am-7pm) on a PRN basis. This patient-facing role maintains cleanliness of food service areas and assists in preparing and serving meals according to dietary restrictions.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, a Food Handler Safety Training Certificate, and at least 2 years of hospital food service experience. Responsibilities include delivering meals, operating dishwashing equipment, and ensuring top sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler Safety Training Certificate required.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Sets up trays for meals.
• Delivers and retrieves food to and from patient’s area.
• Processes soiled trays, dishes and utensils through dishwasher.
• Operates equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to department supervisor.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation through entire work areas.
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
