Wellstone Regional Hospital is a -bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, providing quality healthcare to residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 3. Wellstone specializes in treating Adolescents, Children, and Adults. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services.

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Food Service Worker to join our Dietary department. This is a full-time position working hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Duties / Responsibilities

The Food Service Worker is responsible for:

• Assisting with preparing the salad bar when needed
• Maintaining an adequate supply of beverages
• Ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times
• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies
• Operating the dish machine
• Assisting the cook as required
• Stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required

Candidate must be able to follow menus and recipes, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and lift up to [appropriate weight] pounds with or without accommodations.

Qualifications

Education / Experience: Must have a basic knowledge of food service sanitation; prior experience in food service required, preferably in a healthcare setting. HS / GED required. This is a non-exempt hourly position.

Preferred certifications include SERV SAFE food handler certification or the ability to sit for the exam. Drug testing and background checks are part of the hiring process.
