Qualifications

• Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying food service items
• Must be willing to comply with all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and facility requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal and snack preparation according to established menus and dietary requirements
• Prepare and portion food for residents, ensuring meals are served accurately and attractively
• Deliver and serve meals and beverages to residents
• Assist residents with meal service when needed
• Follow resident-specific diets, allergies, food preferences, and special meal requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and work surfaces
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment
• Stock and organize food and dietary supplies
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Complete assigned cleaning duties and maintain a safe work environment
• Work cooperatively with cooks, dietary staff, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness
• Perform other duties as assigned
