SHIFT TIMES: 6AM-2PM OR 11AM-8PM
Perform assigned work in preparing and serving food, cleaning food service areas, equipment, and utensils.
Essential Duties
- Perform job duties safely as specified in the physical, sensory, and mental requirements.
- Prepare patient trays according to instructions and diet orders.
- Assist in preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and diet requirements.
- Cover, date, and label leftovers and open items properly.
- Employ proper food handling techniques in preparation of food and setting up or serving trays.
- Clean, wash, and sanitize dishes, silverware, and utensils using correct methods.
- Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area.
- Clean work area and equipment as assigned.
- Put up stock in food storage areas, including dry storage, freezers, and refrigerators.
- Deliver food, nourishments, and supplies to nursing units and other areas as assigned.

- Support, cooperate with, and implement specific procedures and programs for OSHA and safety, including standard precautions and safe work practices, fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security. Report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair, and maintenance needs.
- Adhere to confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operational data.
