Position: Part-Time and Per Diem Dietary Aide

Location: Galleria Woods Senior Living, Hoover, Alabama

Pay Rate: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour

Shifts

• Part time: Every other weekend from 6:00-2:00.
• Full-time mornings: Shift rotates between 5-11:00, 5:30-1:30, and 6:00-2:00. Off every other weekend and one day during the week.
• Full-time afternoons: Shift works 11:30-7:30. Off every other weekend and one day during the week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads
• Serve meals in the health center
• Set up and break down dining room tables
• Transport hot and cold foods and nonfood items
• Maintain station equipment and work area in a safe and sanitary condition
• Comply with personal hygiene and dress code standards
• Attend in-service training and education sessions
• Perform specific duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in food service work
• Experience with prep (sandwiches, fruits, and salads)
• Experience in working with seniors preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates according to diet orders, and interpret specifications and standards
• Empathy for the elderly and a good attendance record
• Healthcare experience preferred
