Job description

Shift Times: 6AM-2PM or 11AM-8PM

Perform assigned work in preparing and serving food, cleaning food service areas, equipment, and utensils.

Essential Duties
  1. Perform job duties safely as specified in the physical, sensory, and mental requirements.
  2. Prepare patient trays according to instructions and diet orders.
  3. Assist in preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and diet requirements.
  4. Cover, date, and label leftovers and open items properly.
  5. Employ proper food handling techniques in food preparation and tray setup or serving.
  6. Clean, wash, and sanitize dishes, silverware, and utensils using correct methods.
  7. Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area.
  8. Clean work area and equipment as assigned.
  9. Put up stock in food storage areas, including dry storage, freezers, and refrigerators.
  10. Deliver food, nourishments, and supplies to nursing units and other areas as assigned.
Standard Requirements
  1. Support the Mission, Values, and Vision of the Facility.
  2. Be knowledgeable of resident rights and support an environment that ensures privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
  3. Support, cooperate with, and implement procedures and programs related to OSHA, safety, fire/disaster plans, risk management, and security, including reporting unsafe conditions and equipment needs.
  4. Adhere to confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operational data.
