Job summary

UHS is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in preparing the salad bar, stock beverages, and keep patient meals and room supplies flowing. You will operate the dish machine, log temperatures, and help maintain a clean cafeteria and dining area.

Education required include a High School Diploma; prior food service experience and basic sanitation knowledge are preferred. The role supports cooks and helps ensure supplies are available on each floor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the salad bar and delivering patient meals.
• Maintain an adequate supply of beverages and stock kitchen on each floor.
• Operate the dish machine and record temperatures on the dish machine log.
• Record sanitation logs and food rotation logs.
• Keep the cafeteria and dining areas clean at all times.
• Assist the cook as required and ensure supplies on each floor.

Responsibilities

The Food Service Worker is responsible for the following: assisting with preparing the salad bar, maintaining an adequate supply of beverages, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times, assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies, operating the dish machine, recording temps on dish machine log, recording quat concentration ion sanitizing logs, recording food rotation log, cleaning and recording temperatures from the salad bar logs, assisting the cook as required and stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma required.

Experience: Prior experience in food service preferred with a basic knowledge of food service sanitation.
