Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking a patient dietary records assistant to ensure accurate diet orders are recorded in the patient Kardex and updated promptly to support optimum patient nutrition.

This role supports the nutrition services team, requires attention to detail, good English communication, and basic computer skills for charting and data entry. Experience in food handling is preferred; training will be provided. The position is full-time on-site with benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience preferred. Knowledge of proper food handling and storage required.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of computer operations preferred.
• License/Certification: Food Handler Safety Training Card.
• Ability to provide service appropriate to the age of patients served.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate recording of patient diets in patient Kardex and the updating of changes as necessary to ensure quality service to patient for optimum health.
