Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with preparing the salad bar, maintaining an adequate supply of beverages, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean, assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies, operating the dish machine, assisting the cook as required, and stocking kitchen necessities on each floor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food service.
2. Follow sanitation and safety guidelines.
3. Obtain tray counts by unit for each meal and assist in meal tray preparation.
4. Set up dessert and salad bars, prepare vegetables and salads neatly.
5. Wash dishes and keep the dish room clean.
6. Use portion control guidelines when preparing food.
7. Record dish machine temperatures daily.
8. Maintain cleanliness of dining and food prep areas.
9. Ensure beverages are stocked and coffee pots are full.
10. Interact positively with patients and offer assistance.
11. Promote a harmonious work environment.
12. Report equipment issues promptly.

YOUR EXPERIENCE MATTERS

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Prior food service experience and basic knowledge of sanitation required.

Compensation
