Cherry Springs Village is seeking a devoted Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and assist in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will support meal preparation, portioning, and serving while following dietary plans and resident requests.

In this role, you will help maintain a clean kitchen and dining area, adhere to food safety practices, and collaborate with the dietary team to create a positive dining experience for seniors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, portioning, and serving according to dietary plans.
• Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness; wash dishes and equipment.

• Follow food safety protocols and proper storage/handling.
• Assist with inventory and notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required)
