Shift Information

6am-2pm and 4pm-7:30pm, Full-Time

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide performs various food service functions, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in food service areas, facilities, and equipment. Assists in food preparation and plates food according to dietary guidelines for regular and special diets. Required Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or technical school
  • Ability to work independently and manage meal service for 20 residents
  • Some food service experience required
  • Excellent communication skills
Primary Responsibilities
  • Handle, transport, and plate food for residents, guests, and staff
  • Plate food per the planned menu using standard recipes
  • Follow portion guidelines and garnishing instructions
  • Assist kitchen staff and perform duties as assigned
  • Ensure sufficient food prep and communicate shortages
  • Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Handle documentation and logs for meal services
  • Stock, clean, and prepare stations for service
  • Operate equipment safely and report malfunctions
  • Deliver and retrieve food carts, set up service lines
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • Inventory supplies in satellite kitchens
  • Prepare snacks and beverages as needed
  • Maintain a positive team attitude and promote good relations with residents and families
  • Ensure resident rights, privacy, and dignity are upheld
  • Follow safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Working Conditions

This role requires standing for long periods, effective communication, reading and writing in English, lifting up to 25 pounds, and frequent bending and reaching. The environment is moderate noise, with occasional travel between locations.
