Job summary

Civita Health Care Systems, headquartered in New York, has facilities in Connecticut and New York. We are seeking a Dining Services Assistant for a part-time, 16-hour opening on alternating weekends. The position offers $17.50 per hour with weekly pay and on-the-job training.

Joining our team provides the opportunity to work with residents in a supportive setting, where duties include dietary task execution, sanitation, and collaboration with kitchen staff to ensure quality and timely meals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to follow oral and written communication.
• Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining areas.
• Must be patient, tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic with residents.
• Must be open to learning and incorporating new dietary practices.
• Must deal courteously with residents, families, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure proper serving temperature of food and beverages.
• Assure delivery on a timely basis.
• Maintain visual appeal of the food and use of garnishes.
• Adhere to nourishment lists and stock nourishment stations.
• Assist the cook in monitoring meal serving times.
• Adhere to sanitation and storage policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the dining director.

We are hiring for a part time, every other weekend position of 16 hours. If you are looking for part-time work in a great envirponment, this may be for you!

We have one 16-hour opening, every other weekend. Weekly pay at $17.50. No experience is necessary. On-the-job training provided.

As a Dining Services Assistant, your duties and responsibilities include:

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician.

• Ensure proper serving temperature of the food and beverages.

• Assure delivery on a timely basis.

• Maintains visual appeal of the food and emphasis on the use of garnishes.

• Adhere to daily nourishment list and stock nourishment stations.

• Assist the cook in monitoring of meal serving times.

• Adhere to sanitation and storage policy and procedure.

• Other duties assigned by the dining director.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Must be able to follow oral and written communication.

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of the dining service areas; must perform regular inspections of dietary services areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dietary practices.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
