Job summary

Civita Care Center at Newington is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support our residents with nutritious meals and a welcoming dining environment.

In this hands-on role you will assist with meal prep, maintain clean dining areas, receive and store supplies, and ensure food safety standards are followed in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Capability to unload and stock groceries, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Good writing and record-keeping skills, and ability to follow spoken and written instructions in English.
• The composure to work efficiently during emergencies.
• Effective communication with residents, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing delicious meals and snacks
• Keep dining areas clean and welcoming
• Help with receiving, rotating, and storing supplies and food
• Maintain clean and safe food storage and work areas
• Ensure equipment and supplies are in good condition
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
• Interact with residents, their families, staff, and the community
• Handle food following safety regulations and report any issues to your supervisor
