The Grand at Guilderland in Altamont, NY is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support the dietary department by ensuring smooth food service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in meal preparation for residents.

As a full-time team member, you will operate dish and tray setups, deliver meals, assist with beverage service, and help restock supplies while following safety and sanitation standards.

Reliability and a positive attitude are essential to join our compassionate care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Experience in food service is a plus.
• Teamwork and reliability with transportation to location.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish room operations and maintain cleanliness.
• Prepare sandwiches and set up tray line with condiments.
• Deliver food carts to units and organize resident tickets.
• Pour beverages and soups and maintain coffee equipment.
• Restock supplies and manage waste and leftovers.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness across kitchen and storerooms.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.

The Grand Healthcare is looking for a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team! In this important role, you will support the dietary department by ensuring the smooth operation of food service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in meal preparation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dish room Operations: Operate the dish machine, clean the dish room, and wash pots, pans, and sort silverware.

• Food Preparation & Tray Setup: Prepare sandwiches and set up the tray line with condiments.

• Meal Delivery: Deliver food carts to units and organize resident tickets.

• Beverage & Soup Service: Pour coffee, soups, and clean the coffee pot.

• Maintain Cleanliness: Sweep, mop, and ensure cleanliness in dining areas, storerooms, and other kitchen areas.

• Restocking & Waste Management: Restock supplies, manage leftovers, and dispose of trash.

• Additional Duties: Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.

Dietary Aide Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Physical Capability: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

• Experience: Experience in food service is a plus.

• Teamwork: Positive attitude and strong ability to collaborate with others.

• Reliability: Dependable transportation is required.
