Job summary

Grace Heights Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time aide to join our healthcare team and support food service operations.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, following safety standards, maintaining a clean kitchen, and assisting dietary staff while interacting positively with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements is beneficial.
• Ability to read and apply requirements of food tray cards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food including texture modified and therapeutic diets.
• Follow current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and policies; ensure quality food service.
• Be detail-oriented, professional, and a team player who works well with others.
• Assist dietary aides as necessary and direct other employees with approval and in the absence of the Certified Dietary Manager.
• Follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized kitchen.
• Have a general knowledge and understanding of nutrition.
• Read and accurately apply requirements of food tray cards.
• Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, and food safety/sanitation requirements.
• Interact positively with residents, families, vendors, staff, and other personnel.
• Prior cooking experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and our policies and procedures, and, as directed by the Certified Dietary Manager to ensure that quality food service is provided.

• Assist dietary aides as necessary and direct other employees with approval and in the absence of the Certified Dietary Manager.
