Job summary

The Village at Gleannloch Farms is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve therapeutic diet trays for health center residents in accordance with posted menus. You will work with a team to provide extraordinary care and support for our residents.

Status: Full-Time. Responsibilities include preparing desserts, serving meals, setting up and breaking down dining areas, transporting foods and supplies, and maintaining sanitary conditions. Prior nursing home food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
• Team player with a warm, caring manner.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center.
• Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down after meals.
• Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
• Transports all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
• Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
• Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with dress code.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
