Job summary

Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for residents in a timely manner, following Federal, State and Corporate requirements, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

This role also includes supervising staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services, attending meetings and in-services as required, presenting a professional image to residents and visitors, and upholding company standards for

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for residents according to requirements.
• Perform duties in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Present a professional image to consumers and resolve consumer concerns; protect patient/resident rights.

• Performs duties in a safe and sanitary manner.

• The cook supervises staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
