Job summary

Oak-Ridge-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcar is seeking a Dietary Aide for part-time evening shifts to support daily nutrition services in a long-term care setting. You will assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up while following safety and sanitation guidelines and center policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining food temperatures, assisting with special meals, and reporting hazards or issues to the supervisor.

POSITION TITLE: Dietary Aide

Schedule: Part-time evening shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides assistance in all nutrition service functions as directed by the Director of Food Service in accordance with the center’s standards and procedures, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Assists with providing nourishing, attractive, well-balanced meals and a pleasant dining experience. Must follow company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

• 1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires demonstrated knowledge and ability in food service preparation and clean up. Verbal and written English communication skills. Position requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking, stooping, lifting, stretching, moving heavy items, and lifting/ carrying up to 50 pounds.
• 2. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3. Experience: Previous long term care experience or institutional food service preferred.

• 18. Maintain Confidentiality of all resident’s information to assure residents rights are protected
• 19. Report all work related injuries to supervisor.
• 19.Transport all food carts in a safe and proper manner.
• 20. Wear proper work attire including hair nets and badges.
• 21. Practice safe work habits.
• 24. Performs all other duties as assigned.
