The Waters of Smyrna seeks a Dietary Aide to support all dietary functions under established policies and procedures. You will assist with meal service, tray setup, diet tray checks, and coordination with the dietitian, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• The Dietary Aide assists in all dietary functions as directed and per established policies and procedures.
• Prepares and delivers snacks and meals as instructed.
• Works with the dietitian/Dietary Supervisor to implement changes as required.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing at designated meal times.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Assists in serving meals.
• Prepares and delivers snacks, etc., as instructed.
• Delivers food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Executes diet spreadsheets.
• Cleans work tables, blocks, refrigerators/freezers.
• Washes and cleans utensils as directed.
• Ensures dietary procedures follow established policies.
• Ensures food and supplies are ready for the next meal.
• Inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies as necessary.
• Participates in departmental studies and projects.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures, federal and state governmental regulations, and facility policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance at designated meal times

• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed

• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution

• Assists in serving meals

• Prepares and delivers snacks, etc., as instructed

• Delivers food carts, trays to designated areas

• Executing diet spreadsheets

• Cleans work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers etc.

• Washes and cleans utensils as directed

• Works with the facility's dietitian/Dietary Supervisor as necessary and implement recommended changes as required

• Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies

• Ensures that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available

• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc. as necessary

• Participates in and assists in departmental studies and projects as assigned or that may become necessary

• Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor
