Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Illinois is hiring Dietary Aides to join our TEAM. You will assist in all dietary functions under supervision and follow established policies and procedures.

The role includes serving meals, setting up trays, assisting with diet charts, and cooperating with the Dietitian to ensure accuracy and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Assist in dietary duties per policies and procedures.
• Prepare meals and serve meals adhering to schedules.
• Follow sanitary regulations and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing.
• Sets up meal trays and dining areas as instructed.
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Assists in serving meals to residents.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as instructed.
• Delivers carts and trays to designated areas.
• Executes diet spreadsheets.
• Cleans work tables, blocks, and refrigerators.
• Washes and cleans utensils as directed.
• Works with the dietitian and Dietary Supervisor as needed.
• Ensures dietary procedures follow established policies.
• Ensures food and supplies for the next meal are available.
• Assists in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Participates in department studies and projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations and policies.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures, federal and state governmental regulations, and facility policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance at designated meal times
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution
• Assists in serving meals
• Prepares and delivers snacks, etc., as instructed
• Delivers food carts, trays to designated areas
• Executing diet spreadsheets
• Cleans work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers etc.
• Washes and cleans utensils as directed
• Works with the facility’s dietitian/Dietary Supervisor as necessary and implement recommended changes as required
• Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
• Ensures that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc. as necessary
• Participates in and assists in departmental studies and projects as assigned or that may become necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor
