Base pay range

$15.50/hr - $15.50/hr

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Dietary Aide to join the Redwood Heights Assisted Living community located in Salem, OR.

Dietary Aides are responsible for the delivery of services provided by the Food Service Department. Coordinates and communicates with all food services and other team members in maintaining a holistic perspective of care and services for each resident. Assists Dining Services team in preparation, presentation of highest quality meals and service, and to perform duties as required for the smooth operation of the Dining Services Department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs all dietary services as directed, in accordance with the Resident Handbook and Care Plan.
  • Supports food service programs that stimulate and maximize the unique interests and attributes of each resident.
  • Resolves potential food service and care coordination issues promptly with all involved team members and leaders.
  • Assists all food service personnel in serving meals, filling drinking glasses, setting and resetting tables in the dining room.
  • Monitors and refills items at the salad bar, beverage, and service stations as needed.
  • Helps the cook with meal service and assists in cleaning dining areas upon request.
  • Washes utensils, chinaware, silverware, glassware, and cleans coffee pots and urns.
  • Cleans dishroom, including washing mats, draining dishwashers, and organizing storage areas. Sweeps and mops floors as scheduled or requested.
  • Delivers room service trays as instructed.
  • Presents a professional demeanor that reflects the company's commitment to service and resident satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, lift at least 30 pounds and frequently transport residents in wheelchairs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for up to eight hours with breaks.
  • Good communication skills in English, verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work with the elderly population.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions routinely.
