Job summary

Goldwater Care Roseville is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Aide to support all food functions under established policies. You will help prepare meals according to planned menus and special diet orders, assist with snacks and delivery to residents, and maintain sanitary kitchen operations.

This full-time role offers benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance and a 401k after six months of service, with additional duties including dishwashing, cart and tray delivery, and routine

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare and serve meals per planned menus and special diet orders.
• Prepare and serve residents’ bedtime snacks and substitute foods as needed.
• Ensure food preparation complies with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning to ensure utensils are readily available for the next meal.
• Deliver snacks, food carts and trays; serve food and drinks in the dining room.
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as directed.

The Food and Nutrition Services Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served. Also ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas. Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed. Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
