Job summary

LCS is hiring a Dietary Aide for a part-time role at Trillium Woods in Plymouth, MN. The position involves assisting with therapeutic diet trays and serving residents in the Health Center, with day and evening shifts available.

Applicants should have 16+ years of age, some food service experience, and be able to follow dietary orders. Training on POS systems and dietary restrictions is provided; a team-focused environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in food service, restaurants, retail, customer service, or similar hospitality setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions and communicate with residents and team members.
• Willingness to learn POS systems and dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serve meals in the Health Center.
• Set up and clear tables in the Health Center dining room.
• Transport hot and cold foods to and from the Health Center.
• Transport necessary food service supplies and non-food items to the Health Center.
• Maintain equipment, workstations, and dining areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.

Position: Dietary Aide Part-Time

Shift and Schedule:

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
• Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM
  Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Pay: $19.00 DOE

Location: Plymouth, MN

Job Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serve meals in the Health Center.
• Set up and clear tables in the Health Center dining room.
• Transport hot and cold foods to and from the Health Center.
• Transport necessary food service supplies and non-food items to and from the Health Center.
• Maintain equipment, workstations, and dining areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.

Other Duties:

• Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in food service, restaurants, retail, customer service, or a similar hospitality setting preferred.
• Experience in senior living, nursing homes, hospitals, or healthcare settings is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions, understand dietary orders, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Willingness and ability to learn Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, medical diets, food allergies, and dietary restrictions.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure meal orders are accurate and residents' dietary needs are met.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful when interacting with older adults.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and workflows in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented, with a commitment to providing excellent resident service.
• Ability to consistently report to scheduled shifts on time.

Physical Requirements

Light to moderate physical effort 90% of the time. Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the work day; ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently; lifting weight requirement will not be more than 50 lbs. unassisted.
