Apple Rehab Farmington Valley is seeking a Full-Time Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation, maintain dining areas, and support residents in a clean, safe environment. You will handle supplies, rotate stock, and interact daily with residents who rely on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Able to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff, and family in a professional manner.

• Clean work areas, wash dishes, pans and utensils.
• Comply with infection control, safety and sanitation functions of the facility.

• Handle food in accordance with sanitary regulations and report any violations to supervisor.

Job Description:

Full Time Positions-

Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide assists in preparation of meals and snacks as well as clean up of dining areas. Assists with receiving, rotating and storing of supplies and food. The Dietary Aide has daily interactions with the residents of our community. Helps to clean work areas, wash dishes, pans and utensils.

The Dietary Aide complies with infection control, safety and sanitation functions of the facility. Ensures that food storage and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner, and that equipment and supplies are properly maintained. The Dietary Aide handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations, and reports immediately all violations of safety or sanitation rules to supervisor.
