Job summary

Apple Rehab Mystic is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation, dining room cleanup, and daily resident interactions. The role requires light to moderate physical activity and adherence to infection control and sanitation standards.

You will help receive, rotate, and store supplies, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen and dining environment for our residents. This position offers 30 hours or more per week with a comprehensive benefit package including scholarships, paid time off, health

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate with residents and staff professionally.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide assists in preparation of meals and snacks as well as clean up of dining areas. Assists with receiving, rotating and storing of supplies and food. The Dietary Aide has daily interactions with the residents of our community. Helps to clean work areas, wash dishes, pans and utensils.

The Dietary Aide complies with infection control, safety and sanitation functions of the facility. Ensures that food storage and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner, and that equipment and supplies are properly maintained. The Dietary Aide handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations, and reports immediately all violations of safety or sanitation rules to supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and to lift large items up to 50lbs.
• Ability to write and record data, to read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in cases of emergency.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff, family members in a professional manner.
