Job summary

HHS is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join the Bourbon Community Hospital dietary team. You will assist patients with menu selections and deliver meals with care, ensuring accuracy and timely service.

Flexible full-time and part-time positions are available with day, evening, and night shifts. Background checks and standard employment screening are required to join a compassionate, patient-focused dining team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must communicate effectively in English and work well in a team.
• Strong personal hygiene and neat grooming required.
• Culinary experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

As part of the dietary team, assist patients with menu selection and deliver their meals in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.

• Wage: $13.50/hour

• Full-time and part-time positions available

• Day/Evening/Night shifts available

• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required

Qualifications

• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform

• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment

• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
