Job summary

ALIYA of Crestwood is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals and snacks. You will follow planned menus, prepare meals, and ensure serving portions meet diet orders.

In this on-site role, you will maintain sanitation, assist with dishwashing, and help with snacks and deliveries. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, English proficiency, and at least 1 year in food service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in food service or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders.
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods for residents who refuse served foods.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and that infection control standards are followed.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils and equipment are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare and deliver snacks and food carts, trays to designated areas, and serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed.
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as instructed by supervisor.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and that the facility's standards on Infection Control Precautions are followed
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils and equipment are readily available for next meal
• Prepare and deliver snacks and food carts, trays to designated areas, and serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as instructed by supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience in food service or a related field preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas
• Perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
• Possess patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition
• Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing food practices
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
