Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland in Osborne, Kansas, is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients and staff in the nursing center. You will assist the cook, label nourishments, portion desserts and beverages, and follow production sheets to ensure safe, nutritious meals.

Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication, basic sanitation knowledge, and an understanding of safety.

Qualifications

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Performs a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other special events.
