Job summary

You will help keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, assist with inventory, report waste or issues, and support the Dining Services Director while maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assists or prepares food items and serves residents within scheduled timeframe.
• Cleans and maintains food service areas, including the kitchen and dining room.
• Assists Dining Services Director in maintaining inventory control.
• Reports loss, breakage or waste of supplies and communicates problems to the Dining Services Director.
• Displays mature behavior and attitude; maintains a pleasant demeanor and supports the community's care approach.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record; follows the assigned work schedule.

Salary Range: $16.30 To $17.50 Hourly

The Dietary Aide assists to prepare and serve meals for the dietary department in a safe and appetizing method in compliance with dietary standards, policy and procedures. They also assist with cleaning the kitchen and dining room, washes dishes, and returns food to proper storage.

• 1. Assists or prepares food items and serves food to residents within scheduled timeframe.
• 2. Cleans and maintains food service areas, including the kitchen and dining room.
• 3. Assists Dining Services Director in maintaining inventory control.
• 4. Reports any loss, breakage or waste of supplies and equipment, and communicates any problems or potential problems to the Dining Services Director.
• 6. Displays mature behavior and attitude in speech and action; demonstrates consistently pleasant demeanor, tone of voice, supports the mission statement and approach to care used by the community.
• 7. Maintains an acceptable attendance record; notifies supervisor if late or unable to work in accordance with personnel polices; follows the assigned work schedule.
