Position Summary

The Culinary Services Assistant assists in the preparation and/or service of meals for patients, employees, and special events under the guidance of the Culinary Director. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu and the patients'/residents' dietary preferences and restrictions.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Use proper food handling and safety techniques, ensuring correct quantities.
2. Complete tasks on time as scheduled, adhering to the menu and residents’ diet orders.
3. Wash dishes and perform cleaning duties as necessary or instructed by the Culinary Director.
4. Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience in food preparation and service preferred.
3. Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility strongly preferred.
4. Food handler’s permit preferred.
5. Excellent customer service skills required.
