Job summary

The Pearl at Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team and support meal preparation and service for residents. You will assemble and check diet trays, label food, deliver carts, and maintain dishroom cleanliness while following procedures and promoting a positive, team-oriented environment.

Experience as a dietary aide is preferred; LTC experience is a plus but not required. This is an on-site position with standard facility shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required).
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts and collect meals from nursing units for return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room and wash dishes/utensils using the dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Keep the kitchen clean; sweep and mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage disposal as required.

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Dietary AideRequirements/Qualifications:

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality
