We are looking for an energetic Dietary Aide to join our growing team! The right candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and be able to provide excellent customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center pantries.
• Sets up and breaks down tables in the health center dining rooms.
• Transports hot and cold foods and non-food items to and from the health center pantries.
• Washes silverware, glassware, and china in dish machines according to regulations.
• Provides snacks and supplements as per diet orders.
• Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines.
• Sets tables and maintains work stations properly.
• Takes orders, provides courteous service, and responds to requests.
• Clears dishes during and after meal service.
• Answers questions about menu items.
• Ensures orders match Physician’s diet specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred but not required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and set up trays and plates according to diet orders and standards.
• Ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, families, supervisors, and peers. Empathy for the elderly is required.
