Job summary

HHS is seeking friendly, compassionate team players to join the culinary/dietary team at UW Health Rehab Hospital. You will assist patients with menu selection and deliver meals on a timely basis, providing excellent service and ensuring patient satisfaction.

You will work in a hospital dietary setting with morning, day, evening, and night shifts available. Prior culinary experience is preferred, and the role requires adherence to health and safety policies and successful background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures.

Job Description

• Wage: $18/hour
• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Day/Evening/Night shifts available
• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
• Location: UW Health Rehab Hospital

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
