Job summary

US Skilled Serve is seeking a food service supervisor to oversee meal preparation and service in a hospital or related facility. The role involves coordinating with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services and ensuring adherence to policies and quality standards.

You will assist cooks, help set up trays and dining areas, and contribute to maintaining clean, safe food service areas. Prior supervisory experience in food service is preferred; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year supervisorial experience in hospital or related medical food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services to implement changes.
• Ensure all food procedures follow established policies.
• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner.
• Follow established portion control for serving food.
• Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning per policies.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Carry soiled utensils to the wash area.
• Return clean utensils to storage areas.
• Wash and clean utensils as directed.
• Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazards.
• Set up meal trays, carts, and dining areas as instructed.
• Assist cook in meal preparation.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.

General Duties and Responsibilities
