Job summary

Lincoln Park Healthcare Campus is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Team. The role supports patient nutrition services and helps maintain a clean, organized kitchen and storage areas.

Shift time is 4pm–8pm. Responsibilities include receiving supplies, stocking, delivering meals, assisting with inventories, and performing cleaning duties under supervision.

Experience in food service or hospital setting preferred; on‑the‑job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Receives supplies and equipment for the dietary department and checks quality and quantities.
• Delivers meals to patient care areas and transports hot food to service points.
• Organizes and maintains storage areas, walk-in coolers, and freezers.
• Assists in inventories and records stock received and issued.
• Cleans kitchen and hallway areas and performs cleaning duties as assigned.
• Performs utility/porter duties in addition to core responsibilities.
• Keeps work areas neat and ensures safety and sanitation standards are followed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Duties :

• Receives all supplies and equipment for the dietary department, checking quality, weight, and specifications to ensure compliance with purchase orders.
• Carries or trucks supplies to storage area, fills and delivers requisitions.
• Organizes and maintains storage area in a neat and clean condition.
• Assist in inventories and maintains records of stock received and issued.
• Sweeps and mops floors, take out garbage.
• Organizes and maintains all walk-in freezer and refrigerators.
• Distributes supplies based on prescribed guidelines.
• Deliver hot food trucks to patient care areas.
• Perform cleaning duties in kitchen and hallway areas as assigned by a supervisor.
• Perform utility worker duties or cleaning duties in addition to duties of porter
• Performs all other duties as assigned
