Job summary

The-Waters-3 is seeking a Part Time Dietary Aide to assist in all dietary functions in accordance with policies and regulations. You will support meal service, tray setup, and distribution while ensuring sanitary compliance and coordination with the Dietitian and Dietary Supervisor.

The role emphasizes assisting in inventory, handling meals and snacks, and maintaining readiness of food and supplies for subsequent service, all within established procedures.

Qualifications

• Assist in meal service and tray setup.
• Follow sanitary regulations and established policies.
• Coordinate with the facility's dietitian and Dietary Supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance at designated meal times.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Assists in serving meals.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as instructed.
• Delivers food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Executes diet spreadsheets.
• Cleans work tables, blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Works with the dietitian/Supervisor per recommendations.
• Ensures procedures follow established policies and that food and supplies are ready for next meal.
• Assists in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures, federal and state governmental regulations, and facility policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance at designated meal times
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution
• Assists in serving meals
• Prepares and delivers snacks, etc., as instructed
• Delivers food carts, trays to designated areas
• Executing diet spreadsheets
• Cleans work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers etc.
• Washes and cleans utensils as directed
• Works with the facility's dietitian/Dietary Supervisor as necessary and implement recommended changes as required
• Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
• Ensures that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc. as necessary
• Participates in and assists in departmental studies and projects as assigned or that may become necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor
