Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lancaster, PA is seeking Dietary Aides for our 446-bed long-term care facility. Positions are Part Time/Full Time with shifts 6:30am-2:30pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm, and holiday & weekend availability is required.

Assist with light food preparation and ensure therapeutic diets are prepared and served as prescribed. Candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, and be able to work independently while prioritizing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred
• Past experience preferred, but we will train the right people!
• Must have knowledge of basic principles of foods and nutrition, food sanitation and service, familiar with large scale purchase and preparation of food
• Must be well groomed and willing to wear hair covering

Responsabilités

• Assist with light food preparation

• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a demanding healthcare environment
• Works in conjunction with the dietary supervisor and dietitian to provide a well-balanced meal for the patients
• Follow the Health department rules and regulations on food preparation.
• Sanitation of the department will be maintained in accordance with Federal, State, County and City regulations
