Job summary

Rose City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Dietary Assistant (PRN) to support daily food service operations and assist in the kitchen and dining areas.

You will work with the dietary and clinical teams to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, with shift 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM.

This role offers 14 hours per week and a pay rate of $15 per hour, with opportunities to grow and gain healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Support the cook with basic meal preparation tasks as directed.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, refrigerators, freezers, meat blocks, and kitchen equipment.
• Deliver meal trays to resident rooms and dining areas.
• Transport used trays, dishes, and utensils to the dishwashing area.
• Follow all dietary department procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining environment.

Rose City Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Assistant to join our team in Lancaster, PA. This role supports daily food service operations and works collaboratively with the dietary and clinical teams to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Position Details

• Status: PRN
• Hours: 14 hours per week
• Schedule:
  • 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $15.00/hour or per contract based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
• Support the cook with basic meal preparation tasks as directed
