Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- \u003cb\u003eMeal Assistance:\u003c/b\u003e Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
- \u003cb\u003eSanitation & Cleanliness:\u003c/b\u003e Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- \u003cb\u003eResident Support:\u003c/b\u003e Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- \u003cb\u003eFood Safety:\u003c/b\u003e Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
- \u003cb\u003eInventory Support:\u003c/b\u003e Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
- \u003cb\u003eTeam Collaboration:\u003c/b\u003e Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
- \u003cb\u003eResident Engagement:\u003c/b\u003e Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team
- Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
