Job summary

Country Time Inn is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, portioning, and serving while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.

You will support residents during meals, ensure adherence to dietary plans, and collaborate with the dietary team to meet individual preferences and needs. Prior experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Performs tasks with clear instructions from dietary supervisor.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
• Demonstrates safe food handling practices and personal hygiene.
• Provides courteous service and respectful interaction with residents.
• Able to follow dietary plans and accommodate special requests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation, portioning, and serving to residents as per dietary plans.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized; wash dishes and equipment as needed.
• Provide meal setup and serving to residents, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Follow all food safety protocols for safe storage and handling of foods.
• Inspect inventory; report shortages to Dietary Manager.
• Collaborate with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Assist with fulfilling resident dietary preferences and requests during meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• \u003cb\u003eMeal Assistance:\u003c/b\u003e Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.


• \u003cb\u003eSanitation & Cleanliness:\u003c/b\u003e Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.


• \u003cb\u003eResident Support:\u003c/b\u003e Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.


• \u003cb\u003eFood Safety:\u003c/b\u003e Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.


• \u003cb\u003eInventory Support:\u003c/b\u003e Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)


• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required)


• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices


• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team


• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly


• Excellent communication and customer service skills
