Job summary

Continuum Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our long-term care facility. Flexible and evening hours are available, with a $500 sign-on bonus and a supportive work environment.

The role involves serving meals, maintaining dining area cleanliness, and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation while delivering excellent resident service. Both part-time and full-time openings exist across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience providing quality resident services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating resident satisfaction.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, prioritize work, and resolve emergencies as they occur.
• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with residents and families.
• Ability to identify and report problems and suggest corrections.
• Must perform dishwashing tasks.
• Part Time and Full Time openings exist for all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run dishes and silverware through the dish machine following proper procedures and provide excellent resident service.
• Clean and maintain equipment and areas as designated by management.
• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.
• Serve meals to residents in dining areas with appetizing presentation and portion control.
• Complete daily cleaning assignments, including spills and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher, and trash disposal.
• Participate in departmental cleaning and recycling program.
• Dispose of food and waste according to facility/state guidelines.

Responsibilities of Dietary Aide:

• Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures and provides excellent resident service within established guidelines
• Clean and maintain certain equipment and areas as designated by management
• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.
• Serves meals to residents in dining areas in accordance with established portion control procedures that are appetizing in appearance
• May be required to complete daily cleaning assignments that include but is not limited to cleaning up spilled food, drinks and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher and removing empty bottles and disposing of trash
• Participates in the departmental cleaning and recycling program
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines

Requirements of Dietary Aide:

• Experience providing quality resident services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of resident’s satisfaction
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur
