Job summary

Highlandmanornh is seeking a Dietary Aide to support a Long-Term Care Facility's dining services. The role focuses on serving meals, maintaining a clean dining and kitchen environment, and assisting with daily cleaning tasks in accordance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering quality resident services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of resident satisfaction
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur
• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling
• Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others (residents and families)
• Ability to identify and report problems and provide suggestions for correction
• Must perform dishwashing tasks

Responsibilities

• Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures and provide excellent resident service within established guidelines

• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods
• Serves meals to residents in dining areas according to established portion control procedures and appearance
• May complete daily cleaning assignments including cleaning spills, unloading dishwasher, removing trash
• Participates in departmental cleaning and recycling program
• Disposes of food and waste according to facility/state guidelines

Responsibilities of Dietary Aide:

• Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures and provides excellent resident service within established guidelines
• Clean and maintain certain equipment and areas as designated by management
• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.
• Serves meals to residents in dining areas in accordance with established portion control procedures that are appetizing in appearance
• May be required to complete daily cleaning assignments that include but are not limited to cleaning up spilled food, drinks and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher and removing empty bottles and disposing of trash
• Participates in the departmental cleaning and recycling program
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines

Requirements of Dietary Aide:
