Job summary

Independence Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a team-oriented Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. The role supports culinary excellence in an enhanced dining program and involves reading tray orders, assembling trays with utensils and condiments, and ensuring food is served at the right temperature.

Essential duties include food preparation assistance, cart transport, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handlers' Permit.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production orders on tray cards.
• Place items such as utensils, napkins, straws, condiments on trays.
• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve food on trays at proper time, attractive presentation, correct temperature.
• Push carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness.

Job Summary:

Independence Health and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. We are seeking a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Read production orders on tray cards
• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Required: Food Handlers' Permit
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety
