Job summary

Laural Parke, part of Vi Living, is seeking a hospitality-focused Dietary Aide in Houston, TX. The role supports memory care and health center dining with patient-centered meal service and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include preparing desserts and salads, serving meals, transporting items, and maintaining equipment and hygiene. Prior nursing home food service experience is preferred, with emphasis on empathy for residents and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.

• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
