Job summary

Laural Parke Senior Living in Houston, TX is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support health center dining operations and assist with meal service.

You will prepare desserts, set up trays, follow diet orders, and work closely with residents and staff to ensure safety and kindness. This is a part-time role offering growth opportunities in elder care dining services.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.

• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
