Job summary

The Bridges on Parkview is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious meals for residents. You will assist in meal prep, portioning, serving, and ensuring dietary plans are followed with care and compassion.

Strong teamwork, reliability, and a basic knowledge of food safety are valued as you help create a positive dining experience for residents each day in a supportive senior care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Meal assistance: prepare, portion, and serve meals per dietary plans.

• Collaborate with dietary team to ensure smooth service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required)
