Job summary

Kingsbridge House is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious meals for residents. You will support meal preparation, portioning, serving, and dining experiences in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, following food safety standards, assisting with inventory, and collaborating with the dietary team to meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare, portion, and serve meals according to dietary plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents' individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required)
