Job summary

Goldwater Care Gibson City is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Aide to assist with all food functions following established policies. The role includes preparing and serving meals, adhering to diet orders, and maintaining sanitary standards in accordance with regulations.

Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401k after six months of service. The ideal candidate may have one year of dietary experience in healthcare; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or related setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and special diet orders.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning to keep utensils ready for the next meal.
• Deliver snacks and meals, serve in dining rooms, and maintain kitchen/dish area cleanliness as directed.

The Food and Nutrition Services Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served. Also ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas. Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed. Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• One (1) year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but is not required.
